Finding the Right One

I am a religious person. I'm a believer.

But I don't have a whole lot of religious art in my home. I would like to, I just have a hard time finding something that - it sounds so cliche but I am going to say it anyway - speaks to me. It is difficult to take something so personal and sacred and put it up on a wall. Either it is cheesy (oh, I said it) or everyone else has it or it just looks out of place in my home.

I would really like to find some lovely religious pictures.

Most of my favorites are by an artist named Minerva Teichert.

Christ with Mary and Martha
Rescue of the Lost Lamb

Christ in a Red Robe.

I think this one is beautiful. I haven't seen it before and that is why I love it. It is called "Jesus and the Children" - which also happens to be one of my favorite stories from the scriptures.

I have also seen some sketches of temples but I can't seem to find any I like online.

Do you have any ideas?

Love them all. I really like her, and her Esther one too.

I am the same way, Carie. I'd love to have some religious art hanging around, but I haven't found anything that I don't think is "too much" or would seem out of place. So I have no suggestions, but you're definitely not alone!!!!
