I had a favorite new dress to wear to church (with a fun $3 thrifted pair of shoes.) Church was amazing. Fantastic meetings.
My husband (the epitome of the non-cooker) prepared all by his self, one of my favorite dinners: feijoada. With brown rice, spinach salad and sparkling cider. YUM. For dessert? Carrot cake, mi favorito.
My kids gave me homemade cards, poems, and yes, even a PowerPoint presentation. They were so thoughtful and heartfelt. I melted.
We ended the day with a lovely walk. It was the perfect day.
