Vacation Read

We just got back from a long vacation - road trip none the less. I packed loads of books because a vacation without reading is like dessert without chocolate.

It is nearly impossible to tell if you brought the right books (unless you've read them which defeats the whole purpose.) You just kind of have to roll the dice. Sadly, I packed quite of few duds (The Dante Club, The Kill Artist, The Genesis Code) and a few mediocre reads (The Summer I Turned Pretty, and Look Again.)

I wasn't really expecting anything from this book. (I mean, look at the cover.)

But I found it to be quite entertaining, and truly a perfect vacation read. So much so that I was kicking myself for not bringing the second or third in the series. (Thankfully my sister was able to loan me book two and three while still on vacation.)

If you are looking for some an enjoyable read and can stand Young Adult Fantasy (think Twilight), I recommend you check these out.

I liked the series as well. Minus the whole brother/sister weirdness.

My new favorite quote: "...a vacation without reading is like dessert without chocolate." Love it!
